The Story
After more than a decade as a chef, I hit a wall. Every day felt like 'same shit, different day,' and no matter how hard I tried to improve things, hospitality seemed resistant to change. I knew I wanted out—but I didn’t just want to leave the industry. I wanted to help fix the challenges so many business owners face.
One of my last roles was at an independent gastro pub. I remember the accountant coming in to speak with the owner—and, to my surprise, the owner listened. The accountant was saying exactly what the team had been saying for months, but he explained it in a way that resonated: through numbers.
That moment changed everything for me. I realised that if I could combine my hands-on hospitality experience with financial expertise, I could help business owners make real, meaningful changes.
Now, as a Certified Profit First Professional, my mission is to provide practical advice backed by actionable data. I help hospitality businesses implement sustainable processes that improve their finances and free up their time so they can focus on what matters most—whether that’s growing their business or spending time with the people (or things) they love.
