Why your Hospitality Business needs Evans & Co
It's easy to understand why most business owners think they're saving money by doing their own accounts.
Truth be told, sometimes they actually are. But more often than not, what you save in money you lose in time. As a former head chef, Gareth Evans quickly realised that most hospitality businesses don’t need to pay someone to shuffle papers. What they need is someone with experience in their industry who understands the struggles of running a business and provides release from the headache of learning the ever-changing conditions set by HMRC.
We provide advice on tax, expansions & growth, VAT returns and business consultancy and we draw on our own first-hand experience in hospitality to help business owners across the UK to ‘Build a Better Business’ by providing them with insightful and actionable data.
At Evans & Co Hospitality Accountants we try our best to be as transparent as possible.
The entire accountancy industry is shrouded in mystery; “click here to find out” or “submit your details to receive x, y and z”. In some respects we’re no different- we have the same wording, buttons and forms all over the website.
But there’s a good reason for it. At Evans & Co we know that no two businesses are the same. We’ll take the time to get to know you so that we can create a personalised package for you and your business.
Let us help you take the stress out of paying your employees.
We have a team dedicated solely to serving our payroll clients, so we can handle everything from new starters to leavers and P11ds to P60s.
We use cloud-based payroll software that allows your employees to log in and download their own payslips effectively removing the need for hard copies and the extra costs that go along with it.
What's more, the more employees you have, the lower the cost per person.
The general rule of thumb is that you need to register for VAT if your taxable turnover is £85,000 or more in any 12 month rolling period.
You can apply for an exemption from registering for VAT if you believe that your VAT taxable turnover will only briefly exceed the threshold i.e. you are expecting a large order next month that will take you over the threshold for VAT, but you fully believe that sales will drop in the following month.
Imagine paying every supplier - and your staff - with a single click.
We work with Modulr, a system designed to save you hours by automating your accounts, payroll, and payments, freeing up your time to focus on what really matters
We upload your supplier and payroll information to the system. You make a single payment to your Modulr account. The system will automatically split this between suppliers (or staff) and make multiple payments on your behalf.
